Biomass Molding Fuel Specification

Biomass pellet or Biomass Moulding Fuel (“BMF” for short) uses agricultural and forestry wastes (such as straw, wood chips, bagasse, etc.) as raw materials, through processes such as crushing, drying, mixing, and extrusion. The formed fuel (such as pellets, rods, blocks, etc.). It is mainly used to replace traditional fossil energy (coal, oil, natural gas), a new type of clean fuel that is directly burned in a specially developed biomass burner.

1. The composition of biomass briquette fuel BMF

BMF is composed of combustible matter, inorganic matter and moisture. It mainly contains carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O) and a small amount of nitrogen (N), sulfur (S) and other elements, as well as ash and moisture. The composition of various ingredients is as follows:
 

 
▲Carbon: BMF fuel is a low-carbon fuel with low carbon content (approximately 45-50%), especially low fixed carbon content (approximately 16%), so carbon emissions are low during combustion.

▲Hydrogen: BMF fuel contains a lot of hydrogen (about 5-8%) and high volatile content (more than 70%), so it has good combustion characteristics.

▲Oxygen: BMF fuel contains high oxygen content (about 35-40%). Biomass fuel contains significantly more oxygen than mineral coal, which makes biomass fuel easy to ignite.

▲Sulfur: The sulfur content in BMF fuel is less than 0.08%, and it has good environmental protection characteristics. There is no need to set up a flue gas desulfurization device during combustion.

▲Ash: BMF pellet fuels mainly use high-quality woody biomass as raw materials, and the ash content is low, only 1.5-3%.
 

 
2. The calorific value of biomass briquette fuel BMF

The calorific value of biomass briquette fuel BMF is 15-19MJ/Kg, and about 2~3kg BMF can replace 1Kg fuel oil or 1 cubic natural gas.

3. The characteristics of biomass briquette fuel BMF

▲As a high-quality homogeneous fuel, the molding fuel can be automatically controlled in terms of transportation, storage, transmission and combustion, and its convenience is comparable to that of light fuel;

▲Emissions: The CO2 emitted by biomass combustion is the same as the CO2 absorbed during the growth process, and it replaces fossil energy, reducing net emissions. According to the prescribed mechanism, biomass fuel CO2 is an ecological emission.
